2005 National Cherry Blossom Festival

The National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC is a 2-week annual event that coincides with the peak blooming time of the 3000+ cherry blossom trees located in DC. We took a Saturday morning Metro ride in hopes of some photogenic trees. It was a beautiful, cloudless day with temps in the low 60s.

The Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is always held on the final Saturday. However, we weren't very impressed with it.

We also found a few college rugby teams going at it. I can't say I have any understanding of the sport, but it seemed like it could be fun to watch. The NFL still tops all. :)
