An old friend's wedding called me back to Oregon for my 2006 summer vacation. I thought it would give me a good chance to reshoot some of my favorite landscapes, most of which were very influential in developing my photographic style (which is still far from complete). Unfortunately, the trip also coincided with the hottest week of the year, which led to some serious haze problems and very limited visibility (for this reason none of my photos of Mt. Hood were worth posting). However, I did manage to play with some new techniques to expand dynamic range and build blended and stitched panoramas (I plan to write a simple tutorial essay about what worked and what didn't).
