Baltimore Orioles vs. Chicago White Sox

On July 31st, 2005, I attended my first game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The game lacked the drama I had hoped for with the White Sox taking an 8-1 lead at the end of the 2nd inning. But our seats, about 15 rows back from dugout on the 3rd base line, were amazing, which made the trip worth while. The shots to the left are blends of 3 images showing Rodrigo Lopez, the Orioles starting pitcher, going through his windup. Lopez only managed 4 outs and surrendered 8 earned runs leaving him with whopping ERA of 54.01 for the game. The Orioles mounted a small charge with 2 homers in the 7th to make the score 9-4 and had the bases loaded in the ninth with 2 outs, but Javy Lopez's short fly to left ended the game.

Here's Eric Byrnes, a newly acquired Oriole, diving into 3rd after Melvin Mora's sacrifice fly to right.

Two not so good stories that the Orioles are facing are Rafael Palmeiro (left), who recently got his 3000th hit, now faces a steroid suspension and Sammy Sosa (right), who once faced off with Mark McGuire for the single season home run record, now is hitting a meager .235. Sammy is seen here striking out on a pitch in the dirt.

Here's Miguel Tejada after he drilled a shot off the right right field scoreboard that just missed leaving the park.

Here's Javy Lopez being brushed back with some high inside heat, then proudly grounding out to third. Obviously this was a tough night for the Os.

Here are some other random moments shot through out the course of the game.
