A Day Trip To Seattle

A rare, cloudless January Day in the Northwest motivated us to take a trip to Seattle. It's a little less then a 3 hour drive from our Portland, OR home base. After a lovely sleepless night we hit the road at 6:00 am. We ended up staying a little late so we could get some night shots and take a little walk around the town. Of course we had to visit Seattle's landmark, the Space Needle.

 

One of the most talked about viewpoints in Seattle is Kerry St. Park. It offers a great, close view of the city and the Space Needle.

 

Another great viewpoint is Gasworks Park. It's quite a ways away from the city, but the lake provides for some excellent reflections. It was completely dark when we got there so we didn't get a good look at all the pipes and tanks that make Gasworks Park famous.
