2002 Rose Festival Air Show
The Rose
Festival Air Show is a well know summer event in Portland. The event normally
draws around 75,000 people to the small Hillsboro Airport. After arriving
at around 10am we took a stroll through the static displays. Here's a
few shots from that walk through: |
Of course
the reason people attend an air show is to see some planes in flight.
Here's a few shots of aerobatic stunt flights: |
Another
highlight for me was the US Navy Parachute Team called the "Leap
Frogs". They're all US Navy SEALs. They were flown in by a US Air
Force C-130. |
The show
included quite a few examples from our military services. Seeing the Stealth
fly over was a pleasant surprise. It's incredibly quite. |
